Late Night Cult Classics at The Loft Cinema! The greatest cult movies of all-time are back on the big screen!
“Bouncy vocal rearrangements of pop songs, sparkling choreography and a hilarious script make for a movie that's made to be obsessed over, seen 50 times, and quoted as devoutly as such sacred texts as Heathers and Bring It On.” – Kyle Smith, New York Post
The A-Ca-Awesome comedy Pitch Perfect rips the lid off the cutthroat world of college a cappella signing competitions and is guaranteed to make you laugh (and sing) out loud. Beca (Anna Kendrick) is that girl who'd rather listen to what's coming out of her headphones than what's coming out of you. Arriving at her new college, she finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together. When Beca takes this acoustic singing group out of their world of traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of the surprisingly (and hilariously) competitive world of college a cappella. This could wind up either the coolest thing they'll ever do or the most insane, and it will probably be a little of both. Also starring Rebel Wilson, Adam Devine and Elizabeth Banks. (Dir. by Jason Moore, 2012, USA, 122 mins., Rated PG-13) Digital
