"TROLL is a low-budget b-movie that takes its schlocky premise and rides it for all it's worth ... it's a bad film and it knows it!" - QWIPSTER'S MOVIE REVIEWS
You avoided an attack by Gremlins ... you escaped being munched on by Critters ... you managed to flush away Ghoulies ... but it's very likely you won't survive the supremely ridiculous schlock-fest that is ... TROLL!
Featuring a bizarre cast including Michael Moriarty (Law and Order), Shelly Hack (Charlie's Angels), Noah Hathaway (The Neverending Story), Gary Sandy (WKRP in Cincinnati), Sonny Bono (married to what's-her-name), and Julia Louis Dreyfuss long before she hooked up with Jerry Seinfeld, TROLL tells the magical story of the Potter family and their wacky battles with a nasty troll named Torok, who just happens to live in the basement of their new apartment building. It seems that the ugly little bugger wants to turn the building into an exact replica of his lost Fairy Kingdom, and if that means possessing a cute little girl so she talks like Barry White or turning Sonny Bono into a giant stalk of broccoli, so be it! But wait ... there's more! You also get a big winged gargoyle, a talking mushroom, lots of tacky puppet SFX, painful karaoke, Julia Louis Drefyuss in the buff, and a tween boy hero named Harry Potter (wonder if JK Rowling is a fan?)! Only in the 80s ...
Followed by a legendarily bad sequel, TROLL 2.
