Join us for super summer excitement at The Loft Cinema’s second annual Tucson International Children’s Film Festival! Each morning, kids and their parents can experience the best children’s films from around the world, on the biggest movie screen in Tucson, along with interactive activities and crazy surprises, hosted by the fun-loving folks at Mrs. Tiggy Winkle’s Toys. And best of all, it’s FREE!

The 2008 TICFF, presented by the Glassman Foundation, and hosted by the staff of Mrs. Tiggy Winkle’s Toys, is an eight day celebration of great children’s cinema, featuring classic kid’s films, foreign features, cartoons, sing-a-longs, fun interactive activities and free popcorn and prize giveaways. It's the most fun you'll ever have in a movie theater!

Our films this year:

Saturday, July 26: The Sing-A-Long WILLY WONKA AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY (1971), the “scrumdillyumptious” musical extravaganza, with goodie bags and subtitled musical numbers for sing-a-long excitement! Meet our own Loft Cinema Oompa Loompas, and compete in our Willy Wonka Burping Contest!

Sunday, July 27: THE RED BALLOON and WHITE MANE (1957 / 1953), French director Albert Lamorisse’s Academy Award-winning short films that have become timeless classics. Free red balloons for everyone, and a fun game of "Simon Says" before the movie, led by the gang from Mrs. Tiggy Winkles!
*Includes the hilarious short film Choo Choo starring The Little Rascals, before the feature!

Monday, July 28: IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE (1958), the science fiction spectacular, in glorious 3-D. Free 3-D glasses for everyone, and don't forget to dress up like an alien for our Alien Invasion Parade through the theater!

Tuesday, July 29: THE 5,000 FINGERS OF DR. T (1953), an imaginative fantasy featuring the only original screenplay ever written by the one and only Dr. Seuss! Free Dr. Seuss books will be given out while supplies last, and you can make your own crazy Dr. T hat with the Tiggy Winkle's gang!
