Max Boden, an ingenuitive desert naturalist, is trying to help stop the destruction of a copper mine on the outskirts of 1939 Tucson, Arizona.
He hopes to gain exposure for the issue with the help of a national newsreel agency. Through a series of arduously comic trials, Max learns to use an early motion picture camera to capture images of the unique local flora and fauna that would be destroyed by the mine.
Written and directed by Andrew Bergmann, JACKRABBIT SKY is an original, feature-length 35mm dramatic comedy that celebrates the spirit of the 1930s home filmmakers who were essential in pioneering the art of independent cinema.
