"How to describe DROOL? Well, try picturing Thelma and Louise directed by John Waters ... a morally ambiguous, hilariously twisted comedy." - VANCOUVER QUEER FILM FESTIVAL

"Both politically incorrect and empowering, transgressive and hilarious (and with a great soundtrack), DROOL is an exhilarating breath of fresh air."- SEATTLE LESBIAN AND GAY FILM FESTIVAL

THELMA AND LOUISE meets LITTLE MISS SUNSHINE in DROOL, Nancy Kissam’s quirky dark comedy about domestic violence, sexual harassment, racism, murder, true love and the transformative power of cosmetics.
Anora Fleece has got it rotten. Her husband is abusive, her children are out of control, and she lives in the middle of nowhere feeling like a nobody. Then Imogene Cochran moves into the neighborhood. Imogene sells Kathy K. Kosmetics make-up for the "cocoa-skinned woman." The neighbors don’t like cocoa-skinned anything, but that doesn’t stop Imogene and Anora from becoming friends and, eventually, more than friends.
When Anora’s husband, Cheb, finds out about their new relationship, all hell breaks loose, but the tables are turned when Anora accidentally shoots Cheb dead, triggering a chain reaction of outrageous events that culminate is a bizarre family road trip down the Great American Highway for Anora, Imogene and the kids ... with dead-old-dad in the trunk! Before you can say "purple eye shadow," Anora's dreams of a new life are suddenly turning into reality, but it may not be exactly what she originally had in mind ...
This deadpan Southern Gothic features Laura Harring (who burned up the screen as the amnesiac femme fatale in David Lynch's MULHOLLAND DRIVE) as the shy Anora, and Jill Marie Jones (star of TV's GIRLFRIENDS) as the no-nonsense Imogene.
