THE GREATEST CULT MOVIES OF ALL-TIME ARE BACK ON THE BIG SCREEN IN 35 MM!

"A delectable parody of the dawn of the Reagan-era teen flicks ... WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER is the most gleeful and ingenious pop satire since the ''Naked Gun'' glory days of Zucker, Abrahams, and Zucker." - Owen Gleiberman, ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY

"High Times. Hard Bodies. Soft Rock."
Pull up your tube socks for this wild and wacky spoof of early '80s teen summer camp flicks (think Meatballs with an edge and even more inappropriately tight running shorts), directed by The State's David Wain, and starring a "who's who" of comedy superstars, including Paul Rudd, Janeane Garofalo, Michael Ian Black, Amy Poehler, Michael Showalter, Elizabeth Banks, Judah Friedlander and more ... so many more.
It's the last day of Camp Firewood's 1981 season, and it's everyone's last chance for summer romance, self-realization, and of course, the Big Talent Show. Pranks, hookups, defeats, and comebacks (not to mention a rousing game of flag football and the threat of Skylab crashing into the camp) fuel both campers and counselors to new heights of hormonal hijinks.
Full of absurd humor, merciless spoofing of '80s teen movie cliches, rampant mustaches and spot-on recreations of early '80s fashion disasters, WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER is as tasty, sloppy and nutrition-free as a cherry snow cone on a hot summer day.

(David Wain, 2001, 97 mins., rated R)
