“This 75th anniversary 3D restoration has made the classic film look as sharp as ever —in truth, any opportunity to see the film on the big screen is welcome. Even if you’ve seen it dozens of times before — and who among us hasn’t? — it’s a different experience with an audience. Pure magic.” – Keith Staskiewicz, Entertainment Weekly

It’s been 75 years since Judy Garland first went over the rainbow, and The Wizard of Oz is now back on the big screen in a stunning new 3D restoration, giving this perennial family favorite a whole new dimension! Swept away by a tornado to the magical Land of Oz, Kansas farm girl Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland) embarks on a quest to find the titular wizard, joined along the way by a Scarecrow (Ray Bolger), a Tin Man (Jack Haley) and a Cowardly Lion (Bert Lahr) and pursued by the vengeful Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) and her evil flying monkeys! Will Dorothy ever return to Kansas and discover that there’s truly “no place like home?” Filled with bright, energetic performances, memorable musical numbers and eye-popping Technicolor visuals, The Wizard of Oz is sheer movie enchantment. (Dir. by Victor Fleming, 1939, USA, 101 mins., Rated G) Digital
