A musical theatre camp is terrorized by a blood-thirsty masked killer who despises musicals in this gruesome, goofy and tune-filled horror comedy that will have you shrieking and singing your head off! In Stage Fright, starry-eyed teenager Camilla Swanson (Allie MacDonald, House at the End of the Street) wants to follow in her famous mother's (Minnie Driver) footsteps and become a Broadway diva, but she's stuck working in the kitchen of a snobby performing arts camp run by an obsessive showman (Meat Loaf). Determined to change her destiny, she sneaks in to audition for the summer showcase and lands a lead role in the play, but just as rehearsals begin, blood starts to spill, and Camilla soon finds herself terrified by the horror of musical theatre. As a crazed killer starts bumping off the performers in increasingly nasty ways, Camilla begins to realize that a traumatic incident from her past may hold the key not only to the killer’s identity, but also to the secret for keeping the curtain raised on the big show! Deftly mixing gory suspense with satirical musical numbers, Stage Fright (from Jerome Sable, director of The Legend of Beaver Dam) is a delightfully oddball mixture of Scream, Glee and Cannibal: The Musical! (Dir. by Jerome Sable, 2014, USA, 89 mins., Rated R, Magnet Releasing) Digital
