Winner of 10 Audience Awards at film festivals around the country and starring acclaimed actor Alan Cumming (The Anniversary Party), Any Day Now is a powerful tale of love, acceptance and family. Brash drag singer Rudy (Cumming) and closeted district attorney Paul (Garret Dillahunt, Winter’s Bone) become unlikely lovers after meeting in a bar in 1979 Los Angeles. When Rudy’s drug-addicted neighbor abandons her teenage son Marco, who has Down Syndrome, the couple reluctantly takes him in and eventually become the loving family he's never had. But when their unconventional living arrangement is discovered by authorities, Rudy and Paul find themselves fighting homophobia and a biased legal system to become the adoptive parents of the child they have come to love as their own. Inspired by a true story from the late 1970s, and buoyed by a superb cast, Any Day Now powerfully and poignantly touches on legal and social issues that are as relevant today as they were 35 years ago.
