“A darkly comic fantasia with a twisted sense of humor.” – Joe Neumaier, New York Daily News

“Strange and ambitious, anchored by a tour de force performance by Simon Pegg.” – Sheila O’Malley, Roger Ebert.com

“A quirky gem of a film that fits well into the British tradition of oddball horror-comedy, featuring Simon Pegg at his nerdy best.” – Shelagh M. Rowan-Legg, Twitch

In this wickedly warped British horror comedy, Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead) plays Jack, a children's author turned crime novelist whose detailed research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid wreck, persecuted by an irrational fear of being murdered. When Jack is thrown a life-line by his long-suffering agent, and a mysterious Hollywood executive takes a sudden and inexplicable interest in Jack's script, what should be his 'big break' rapidly turns into his 'big breakdown' as Jack is forced to confront his worst fears; among them love, laundry and serial killers. Also starring Clare Higgins (Hellraiser), Paul Freeman (Raiders of the Lost Ark) and Amara Karan (The Darjeeling Limited). (Dir. by Crispian Mills & Chris Hopewell, 2013, UK, 100 mins., Rated R, Cinedigm) Digital
