“Shows something we rarely see on screen: the heartache and happiness that come with love late in life.”– Chris Nashawaty, Entertainment Weekly

Gloria is a work of maturity, depth and emotional insight. There’s not a single false note here.” – David Rooney, Hollywood Reporter

“A near-perfect film about the very imperfect world of a divorced woman of a certain age … Gloria is one of the most enjoyable movies to come along in a while.” – Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times

The bittersweet comedy Gloria follows a woman in her late 50s as she tries to balance family obligations with those of a new romance in this insightful and uplifting comedy that shows it's never too late to take charge. Gloria (Paulina García) is a "woman of a certain age" but still feels young. Though lonely, she makes the best of her situation and fills her nights seeking love at social dance clubs for single adults. Her fragile happiness changes the day she meets Rodolfo (Sergio Hernández). Their intense passion, to which Gloria gives her all, leaves her vacillating between hope and despair — until she uncovers a new strength and realizes that, in her golden years, she can shine brighter than ever. The film is exclusively and radically told from a single point of view — Gloria's — and Garcia's tour de force performance captured the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin Film Festival. Chile's Official Selection for Best Foreign Language Film consideration at the 86th Academy Awards. (Dir. by Sebastian Lelio, 2013, Chile, in Spanish with subtitles, 110 mins., Rated R, Roadside Attractions) Digital
