The Loft Cinema is looking for a DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE FOR EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT
Primary responsibilities: Cultivating and executing The Loft’s Education Initiative, broadening community engagement and related grant-writing.
Starting salary negotiable. Health benefits and a 401(k) equivalent take effect 90 days after commencement of employment.

The Loft Cinema is a nonprofit arts organization that shows first run films and classics, and offers filmmaker visits, film festivals, film series, special screenings, community partnerships and more. The Loft’s Educational Initiative is an increasingly important component of The Loft, and the Director of Education and Engagement will be responsible for expanding and nurturing the programming, deepening outreach to the community and grant writing to support the Education Initiative.
REQUIREMENTS: The individual who is the DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE FOR EDUCATION AND ENGAGEMENT must have related experience including arts education, grant-writing and event management. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Enthusiasm for film-related education and for the community, a strong work ethic and a flexible schedule are required.
SUMMARY: The Loft Cinema’s Director of Education and Engagement will grow and enrich educational programming at the Loft, expand The Loft’s impact on the community by broadening target audiences and cultivating deeper relationships with diverse communities of interest, educators, film industry professionals and funders.
